Use these nylon mesh devices with Falcon* 50mL centrifuge tubes (available separately) to obtain more uniform cell suspensions. No more fabricating filters from gauze, paper, steel, or nylon mesh. Cell strainers come ready to use?just peel open the package, place the sterile strainer on top of the tube, and add the cell suspension. Provide more uniform filtration than laboratory-made devices.
Cell strainers are available in 40, 70, and 100μm mesh sizes for various applications: separating enzymatically dissociated cells from undigested tissue for the initiation of primary cell cultures; sterile prefiltering of any solution containing particulates; prefiltering to clarify conditioned media containing clumps of cells; and dissociating clumped cells in preparation for cell counting or subculture. Each strainer is individually wrapped in medical-grade packaging and gamma irradiated, eliminating the need for autoclaving.
